In accordance with the Moscow Government order “About measures on development of wholesale trade in food products in the city of Moscow” and with the active support of Department of Food Resources of Moscow and the Central Federal District of Russia our company is conducting a scheduled re-structuring on the territory and updating of old plant and equipment of the "Victorya" CJSC. In the near future the first class “A” dry-climate food terminal of the City Distribution Centre will be put into operation. The construction of a second terminal with an area of 27 thousand square meters is planned for the end of summer.
It is natural, that not only the construction of hi-tech properties defines the strategy of development of the whole enterprise. In this connection our company in the last three years has closely worked with the largest wholesale market in Europe "RUNGIS". At the present time "Victorya" has entered the field of practical cooperation with the leading wholesale player in the world food market. After these type of statements some words are necessary to explain the company "RUNGIS". After the Second World War on the initiative of the president of France Charles DeGaule the state had allocated land and resources for the construction of the largest wholesale food market 8 kilometers outside of Paris with the aim of helping local manufacturers in the organization of selling and ordering of of products in one place. Now “RUNGIS”, is perhaps the world's largest wholesale food market with a territory of 220 hectares. On more than one million square meters of its warehouse and trading areas there are various thematic pavilions. On a photo you can see fish, meat and fruit pavilions of “RUNGIS". In the pavilions, companies that rent these areas conduct trades using the full spectrum of logistics and technical services of “RUNGIS”. The company operating the complex is the private company "SEMMARIS" which receives income from providing services and organizing the technology of all areas.
From May 31 until June 3 the Board of Directors of the "Victorya" CJSC went on a business trip to France and to “RUNGIS”. During the trip management was familiarized with the system of operations of some pavilions at the market, and received advice on efficient organization of food logistics, the equipment of warehouse terminals and mechanisms of interaction with large manufacturers in the market. Working negotiations were conducted with the Director of Development for “RUNGIS” Mr. Isnard and the President of this company Mr. Spielrein who considers the Russian food market as one of the most promising in the world.
The most significant result of the business trip was the signing of the official Consulting Contract between "Victorya" and “RUNGIS” on the creation of the concept for development and system of operations of the wholesale trade complex on the entire territory of the enterprise. An important point in the given development is that experts from “RUNGIS” in Russia for the first time will coordinate the logistical activity and safe storage of all food products in the fine and bulk wholesale trade. An essence of the given contract is the formulation of the evolutionary project, allowing it to provide the maximum transformation of space of the complex of wholesale trade according to the principle of long-term development of "Victoria". Similar sort of projects were already successfully realized by “RUNGIS” in Portugal and in China. For detailed development of the given concept a group of experts from company “SEMMARIS” will come to Moscow and to "Victorya”.
